Unity and oneness are part of the mission of the church, part of our witness to the world.
This oneness and unity is important to Jesus, because it is needed “so the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me” (v23). That they may be brought to complete unity (23).In this passage, Jesus prays for unity and oneness among believers.
